Job Description:

Join a highly energized and capable team to deliver and support our enterprise software solutions in the healthcare industry.  You will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by working directly with customer information technology and medical imaging staff.  As a software support specialist, you will gather and understand customer needs, install and configure the software according to those needs, and act as an on-going point of contact for customer support.  You will also interact with the internal engineering teams to understand the software’s functionality and to communicate issues with customer.

This position will require some nationwide travel (up to 50%) during periods of customer deployment and when on-site support is necessary.  Also, it is expected that the individual who desires this position will be a part of a team, with rotating responsibility for 24 x 7 customer support coverage via phone and Internet.  Actual support coverage outside of normal business hours is rare however.

At TeraMedica you will be working with state-of-the-art medical imaging software in a dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere.

Essential Qualifications

  • Customer service and support for an enterprise software product
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter and quick study
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and UNIX (Solaris and AIX preferred)
  • Practical knowledge of computer networking
  • Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship building skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare or medical imaging software, DICOM or HL7
  • Use of a defect-tracking system 
  • Knowledge of relational databases and structured query language (SQL)
  • Use of scripting tool (PERL, VBScript, shell scripting, etc.)
  • Undergraduate degree

Applicants must be local to the Milwaukee area (or willing to relocate without financial assistance) and should be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
