TeraMedica Launches Evercore® VisLite™ Information Manager |
Revolutionary Visible Light Product delivering a physician-friendly integrated information solution
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (November 20, 2006)—TeraMedica, a Milwaukee-based medical informatics company, today announced the launch of its new Evercore - VisLite Information Manager as part of its commitment to solving interoperability challenges in the Visible Light arena. “Vislite, integrates and manages Ophthalmology, Surgery, Endoscopy, Pathology, Microcopy and many other areas”, according to company CEO and President Jim Prekop.
"Evercore - VisLite Information Manager integrates and manages all (VL) Visible Light Modalities, into a single cohesive infrastructure,” said Jim Prekop. “This unique information manager then serves this vital visible light dataset, to the resident Enterprise Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or to the greater Enterprise RHIO/Electronic Health Record (E.H.R). The aggregated device information is gathered seamlessly from systems such as the fyreLINK VL™ Image Capture system”
Prekop added that the unique market breakthrough for the Evercore Suite is the application of the SmartStore™ Clinical Policy Engine. Application of SmartStore clinical policy intelligence allows the classification of Visible Light objects dependent on the objects’ inherent departmental value, which may include classification due to clinical or research relativity. As a result, Evercore is a new type of clinically oriented information lifecycle manager. It supports physician acceptance while optimizing storage area networks and delivering consolidated information to the EMR or other HL7-based systems.
Evercore VisLite Information Manager also uses open standards in managing and storing digital information and makes the Visible Light data available at the point of patient care across the health care enterprise in multiple formats and at multiple service levels. “Evercore can literally disappear into a facility's infrastructure, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care instead of on information retrieval,” said Prekop.
