TeraMedica® signs agreement to install Enterprise Clinical Content Manager at Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin.
MILWAUKEE, March 9, 2007 – TeraMedica® and Marshfield Clinical today announced an agreement to install Evercore® - Clinical Information Manager. TeraMedica’s Evercore - Clinical Information Manager is intended to integrate all of Marshfield’s clinical objects, including medical and non-medical images, then distribute them in a lightweight format within the Marshfield Electronic Medical Record, making them available to attending health care professionals via web accessible devices.
“We see the upcoming installation at Marshfield as a landmark event for both parties. We are very excited about the opportunity to positively impact patient care and procedural efficiency at Marshfield,” said Jim Prekop, TeraMedica CEO. He added, “Together we can build the clinical content foundation for personalized medicine and a holistic view of the patient across the entire hospital network. We needed to independently manage multiple disparate content in a centralized content architecture, then deliver a lightweight image set to all desktops across the enterprise, within the context of our resident EMR."
"This underlying architecture will also facilitate customer access to clinical applications through the new CattailsMDTM commercial ASP offering,” said Carl Christensen, Marshfield Clinic CIO. He added, "The Evercore product allows us to quickly identify and retrieve all patient centric images independent of modality, PACS or physical site, delivering operational efficiencies to our organization.” “In addition, our primary care physicians, nurses and specialists can improve patient care by rapidly identifying all images on a patient throughout the network, while inside the Electronic Medical Record.” Jim Prekop echoed Christensen’s sentiments, “The healthcare IT world faces significant data integration and management challenges. Evercore’s ability to efficiently coalesce clinical objects in a central clinical content manager and satisfy the medical team’s need for a holistic view of patient data in real time, means everyone wins with Evercore.”
